The Perfect Omelet
Never again will there be a badly-cooked omelet, thanks to this recipe! This is a great and healthy way to make a tasty breakfast in a snap.
Steps
1. Crack both eggs into a bowl. Season with salt and pepper. Add the 1 teaspoon of milk. Whisk the eggs just until the whites and yolks are blended. Do not over-mix the eggs.
2. Place a 7-inch nonstick omelet pan over medium-high heat. When the pan is hot, add the butter, and spread it over the bottom of the pan. When the butter melts, add the eggs into the pan. Wait a few seconds. Using a spatula, push a side of the omelet to the center of the pan. Tilt the pan so that the uncooked egg runs underneath the cooked egg, onto the pan bottom. Continue until there is no more runny egg in the pan. The top should still be creamy. Add a couple spoonfuls of your favorite toppings onto the top of the omelet.
3. Hold the pan by the handle over a serving plate, and slide the omelet onto the plate. Let it cool slightly, then roll it up to conceal the filling inside. Serve hot.
